Privacy Policy

Overview

Prayer Times is a Salah and Qibla app that works entirely on your device. We do not run a server, do not collect personal data, and do not share anything with third parties.

Data Collection

Prayer Times does not collect any personal data. Specifically:

• No accounts or sign-ups — the app works without registration.
• No analytics or tracking — no SDKs for usage tracking, crash reporting, advertising IDs, or user identification.
• No advertising — there are no ads and no ad-related data collection.
• No backend we operate — we do not run any server that receives or stores your data. The only network call the app makes is to your platform's standard reverse-geocoding service (Apple Maps on iOS, Google Play Services on Android) to display your city name. See Location below.

Location

If you grant location permission, Prayer Times reads your coordinates to compute your Salah times and the Qibla bearing. The prayer-time and Qibla calculations themselves run entirely on your device — the math never leaves your phone, and we (D2V Solutions) never see it.

To display the name of your city in the app, your coordinates are sent once to your platform's standard reverse-geocoding service: Apple Maps on iOS, Google Play Services on Android. This is the same call that any maps, weather, or "near me" app makes, and it is governed by Apple's and Google's own privacy policies. We do not receive, store, or share the result. If you prefer not to share your coordinates with Apple or Google, decline the location permission — the app will still function once you accept location with limited city-name display.

Your coordinates and city name are stored only on your device. You can revoke the location permission at any time from your device settings.

Compass / Magnetometer

The Qibla compass uses your device's magnetometer to display your heading. This data is read in real time, never stored, and never transmitted.

Notifications

If you enable prayer notifications, the app uses your device's local notification system. Notifications are scheduled on-device based on your computed prayer times. No data is sent to external push services.

Settings Storage

Your preferences (calculation method, notification choices, theme) are stored locally on your device using your platform's standard preferences storage. They never leave your device.

Children's Privacy

Prayer Times does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same URL with a new Last updated date.
